Banter Bros is a UK humour and lifestyle brand selling brutally funny gifts, greeting cards, calendars, and novelty items — designed in the UK, shipped from their North East HQ, and built on the kind of unapologetic British humour that's made them a TikTok phenomenon. With viral bestsellers including the Work Wanker Calendar and over 5 million TikTok views, Banter Bros has built a dedicated following of gift-givers who want something that says what everyone's actually thinking.
The Challenge
Humour brands live and die on impulse. The personality has to hit in seconds — if the store feels generic, the joke's already dead. Banter Bros had strong products and strong social proof, but the store wasn't capturing the energy of the brand. It felt too safe for a brand that's anything but, and the multi-channel sales story (TikTok Shop, Etsy, Amazon, Shopify) wasn't being leveraged to build direct purchase confidence.
Our Approach
We rebuilt the store to match the brand's tone: bold, direct, and unfiltered. The homepage was restructured to lead with bestsellers and social proof — viral product images, review counts, and the TikTok presence used as conversion signals rather than afterthoughts. Product pages were redesigned with the brand voice running through every line, turning passive browsing into active laughter.
Gifting occasion navigation was built out to capture Secret Santa, birthday, and office party intent. Bundle options were surfaced to drive AOV. Checkout friction was reduced throughout, and the mobile experience was rebuilt to match where the brand's social traffic actually lands.
