Overview
Blue Collar Fit is a fitness apparel brand built around a working-class ethos — the idea that the best bodies are built through hard work, not gym aesthetics, and that the people who train hardest are often the ones who don't see themselves in mainstream fitness culture. The brand produces training shorts, tees, hoodies, and accessories with a raw, utilitarian identity that resonates with powerlifters, blue-collar workers who train, and anyone who's tired of polished Instagram fitness brands.
The Challenge
Identity-driven apparel brands live or die on community fit. The store needed to feel like it belonged to its audience — not aspirational in the conventional sense, but authentic to the blue-collar work ethic that the brand is built around. Generic Shopify aesthetics and clean DTC-style layouts would undermine the brand's identity rather than reinforce it.
Our Approach
We built the store to match the brand's energy. The visual language — typography, imagery treatment, layout rhythm — was designed to feel earned rather than polished, reflecting the brand's anti-pretension stance while still delivering a fully professional shopping experience. The homepage led with the brand's ethos before the product range, building identity connection before the sale.
Product pages were stripped of unnecessary softness and built around performance and durability — material specs, fit for function, and real-customer gym content. Bundle and pack options were introduced. Drop and new release flows were given urgency treatment. Mobile was fully optimised.
