Braine Axe is a premium axe throwing brand offering competition-grade axes, throwing targets, protective gear, and accessories for a sport that has grown rapidly from novelty to organised competition. The brand serves serious throwers — from recreational venues building out their facilities to individual competitors training for WATL and NATF tournaments — with products that are built to perform and last.
The Challenge
Axe throwing is a niche market with passionate buyers who know the difference between a competition-grade axe and a decorative one. The store needed to communicate product specification and performance credentials to an audience that doesn't tolerate vague product descriptions — weight, steel type, handle material, and balance all matter, and buyers who care won't settle for a store that can't answer those questions.
Our Approach
We rebuilt the store to speak directly to the throwing community. Product pages were redesigned around full technical specifications, throwing style compatibility, and performance context — giving experienced throwers everything they need to make an informed purchase. The homepage was structured to serve both the recreational buyer setting up a venue and the serious competitor looking for a competitive edge.
Equipment bundle packages for venues and facilities were introduced to increase AOV. Beginner guides and safety content were integrated to support the new-to-throwing customer. Competition and regulation information was woven throughout to establish category authority. Mobile was fully optimised.
