Overview

Cowboy is a Brussels-based electric bike brand founded in 2017, building some of the most design-forward connected e-bikes on the market. Their range — Classic, Cruiser, and Cross — is built around a minimalist aesthetic, a hidden drivetrain, and proprietary AdaptivePower technology that senses slope, wind, and weight to adjust motor assistance in real time. Every bike ships with built-in GPS, theft detection, crash detection, and a companion app that makes the ride smarter. With 125+ service centres across 40+ cities, Cowboy has built a premium urban mobility brand that competes on experience, not just spec.

The Challenge

Premium e-bikes are a high-consideration purchase. Customers at this price point need to understand what makes a Cowboy different from cheaper alternatives, trust the brand's service network, and feel confident about a purchase they can't easily return. The store needed to communicate the technology story clearly, make the app and connectivity features feel tangible, and guide buyers through a model decision that has real lifestyle implications.

Our Approach

We rebuilt the store around the ride experience rather than technical specifications. AdaptivePower, GPS theft protection, and the app ecosystem were given dedicated visual explanation on the homepage and model pages — showing what these features actually feel like to use, not just what they are. The model comparison flow was redesigned to guide buyers by ride style and use case rather than raw stats.

The service network and warranty were positioned as primary trust signals, directly addressing the "what if something goes wrong" objection. Accessories and customisation options were surfaced to increase AOV. Mobile was fully optimised for the brand's urban, smartphone-native audience.
