Gate Eleven is a travel lifestyle brand offering premium luggage, travel accessories, and journey essentials for the considered traveller. Built around the idea that the way you travel says something about who you are, Gate Eleven positions its products as the last set of travel gear you'll ever need to buy — designed with the detail and durability that frequent travellers actually demand.
The Challenge
The travel accessories market is one of the most competitive in eCommerce, with established players dominating paid and organic search. New entrants need to win on brand and product storytelling rather than search volume — and Gate Eleven's existing store wasn't making the case for why their products were worth a premium over the familiar alternatives. The hero products needed more room to prove themselves.
Our Approach
We rebuilt the store around the travel experience itself. The homepage was designed to evoke the feeling of movement — arriving somewhere new, the satisfaction of a bag that's packed perfectly — rather than leading with product specs. Brand photography was given editorial space to do the heavy lifting on aspiration, while product pages were built to handle the technical validation that high-consideration travel buyers require.
Durability details, warranty framing, and comparison-to-competitors content were embedded in product pages to address the "why not just buy X" objection directly. Gift guide and travel occasion pathways were introduced. Mobile checkout was tightened throughout.
