Lone Peak Overland is a premium overlanding and off-road equipment brand offering roof racks, recovery gear, lighting, storage solutions, and expedition accessories for serious off-road adventurers. The brand is built for the overlanding community — drivers who use their 4x4s as expedition vehicles, who camp off-grid for weeks at a time, and who invest seriously in reliable gear because the alternative is being stranded somewhere without cell service.
The Challenge
Overlanding equipment is a high-investment, high-research purchase. Buyers spend hours comparing products before they buy, and they want to know that the brand behind the gear understands the demands of the environment it's built for. A store that looks like it's selling general outdoor gear, rather than equipment built by and for the overlanding community, will lose these buyers to competitors who demonstrate that specific credibility.
Our Approach
We rebuilt the store to reflect the overlanding lifestyle. The homepage was designed around expedition photography and the community's identity — remote landscapes, fully-kitted builds, the culture of self-sufficient adventure — before presenting the product range. Vehicle compatibility filtering was introduced as the primary navigation tool, so buyers could filter by their specific platform rather than browsing a generic product catalogue.
Product pages were redesigned with installation notes, weight ratings, compatibility specs, and real-world build context. Customer build features and community content were integrated throughout. Bundle and complete kit options were structured for common build setups. Mobile was fully optimised.
