
Overview
De La Calle is a craft fermented Mexican soda built on tepache, a centuries-old pineapple drink rooted in Mexican street culture. USDA organic, non-GMO, and under 60 calories per can, it competes directly with kombucha and craft soda in a fast-growing better-for-you beverage market.
With retail distribution expanding and a strong DTC subscription model, the Shopify store needed to support both impulse buyers and repeat subscribers while communicating the brand's cultural roots and product differentiation.
The Challenge
Getting consumers to choose an unfamiliar drink category requires education before conversion. The store needed to explain what tepache is, build category credibility, and make subscription ordering feel natural. Existing pages lacked storytelling and didn't convert new visitors effectively.
Our Approach
We rebuilt the homepage to lead with flavor and cultural story before the product. Bold visuals, origin storytelling, and ingredient callouts were structured to move a curious visitor from intrigue to understanding to purchase in a single scroll.
Product and subscription pages were optimized with flavor-specific content, health benefit callouts, and variety pack positioning to increase average order value. Press features and customer reviews were integrated at key decision points.
